Ed L. Boggs Pharmacy

The Boggs Pharmacy was on Summers Street at the turn of the Century.  It included the typical Soda Fountain and Patent medicines.  Oddly Enough, Mr Boggs was from Big Otter and spent most of his time there, even though he had other business interests in the city, including a bank.  Notice the gas lamps on the ceiling.

This rare glass is owned by Jane Garnett of Va, who grew up in South Charleston. It was used to measure medications with measurements on the back.  Her grandfather, William B. Dickerson worked at the pharmacy around 1910-1920.
