Comments: Love the 70's photo's ! the early seventies were my high school years, love the hair & the 'duds'. Also love the old photos. Especially the old cars in the pix and the shots of 'old' downtown Charleston.

Comments: Hello this is a great site. I came across it while researching my Great Grandfather X 4Henry Rummel. The Henry Rummel of the Rummel Bottling Works is my Great Grand Uncle X4.
It was great reading the things about him and the photos., i didn't know we had a " Coca Cola" man in our family. And I never connected the Uncle Jessie my family was talking about who was named for Henry Rummel his Great Grandfather went by Jessie. You helped clear up a piece of my Rummel history from Minersville, Ohio. Thank you.
Sharon Rummel Zephyrhills, Florida (Home of Zephyrhills Bottled Water) ironic isn't it LOL
Admin reply: Thanks! I used to do a lot of skydiving in Zephyrhills!

Comments: Hello. Love your site. I've been a whitewater guide for many years on the New River,so I'm very familiar with that area. I believe the top picture you have listed as Nuttalburg is instead the area of Red Ash, several miles upstream. There are several reasons I think so. Two of them being the flat patch of land with baseball diamond and the absence of a rapid by the town. Double Z rapid,a class 5, runs right below Nuttalburg. Happy New Year!
Admin reply: Thanks for the info. I'm not surprised that I'm a little off on that town as it's WAY out of my area.

Comments: I am very interested in hearing about your time as a disc jockey for WXIT. I listened to "The Rock" when I was a teenager and thought it was the greatest station. There is very little information about the station and its "on air" personalities on the internet. You need to start a history website.
Admin reply: I have a page on WXIT. Not much , but it's there.
