Bleacher Collapse At Laidley Field 1923

Back in the day, people were tough.   60 people injured but that didnt stop the football game.

I love this photo due to the background.  It shows the houses up on the hill next to, and behind Laidley Field in 1923.  The story itself is long forgotten, so here is what happened:

IN OCT OF 1924, NEW CONCRETE BLEACHERS WERE DEDICATED
