Christ Church United Methodist Fire Of 1969
Morris Street side after the fire. Only the outside walls were left standing Same side today Quarrier Street entrance. Mostly the stone wall was left. Today. I'm
sure that the congregation made good use of their new space when the
building was re-built. However, I cant help but remember the
thousands of old buildings I've seen all over Europe, many burned
out or completely bombed to the ground, that were then re-built
stone by stone back to their original beauty. You'd never know
they had ever been damaged. This once magnificent church is
now lost forever.
