DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON DVD CONTEST!
This is a video taken over a few years between 1981 and 1984 by a local videographer. The video is actually one hour long but YouTube only allows a fraction of that. This video will be given away each week in our contest.
HERE'S HOW THE CONTEST WORKS Each Sunday I will post a link to a photo near the bottom of the main mywvhome page. I will not have a set time. Could be in the morning or afternoon. (But it doesnt matter to you at all.) Click on that link and look at the photo. If you know where it is, go to our Guest Book at NINE PM SUNDAY NIGHT (also at the bottom of the page) and state the location. THE FIRST CORRECT ANSWER 9PM OR AFTER WINS. All answers posted BEFORE 9pm will not count. ONLY answers at 9pm or after will. This means that you will have to time your answer just right in order to be first, without being TOO quick. The location must include the street and what is at that location today. HOWEVER: Some photos will have questions written right on them. Simply answer that question. If you've been out of town for years, you can either give the cross street to the location, or use Google Maps "Steet View" to see what's there today. At least 2 of these 3 items must be in your answer in order to win. The first person with the correct answer wins. Note that you also must include your e-mail address in the Guest Book so that I can contact you. Your answer must be made public on the Guest Book so that everyone can see it. No private entries will be allowed. Only one winner per e mail address please! *Why are we doing this? We decided that the quality of the DVD wasn't optimal, and so until it is, were are going to give away the rest of the ones we have. We feel a better copy can be made and until they are, this is a good way to have some fun here on My WV Home.
