Capitol Street in the late 70s
It's funny how quickly we forget what used to be on Capitol Street. Fact is that a hundred stores came and went over it's history, and depending on what decade you remember determines what was where at the time. This photo shows the most famous and oldest stores still in business. There's Frankenburgers, OJ Morrisons, John Lee Shoes (which was much older than many think) Embees, Butlers Shoes, Bass Jewelers, Thom McAnn... even a couple of 5 and dimes.
