CHARLESTON'S FIRST EVER 11 +
INCH BY 10 FEET PANORAMIC PHOTO!

There is no way possible to display a 10 foot wide photo on the internet of course. So here are a couple of highly compressed
sample images (compressed means loss of quality) to give you some idea of what this photo looks like. As far as I know, this
is the largest image ever attempted in the history of Charleston WV. The last panoramic images that covered this much of the
valley were taken in the 1920s, and they were only around 4 to 5 feet wide. THIS IMAGE IS 10 FEET LONG! You cant imagine
what it looks like until you see it in person. It's the most amazing detailed view of everyone's favorite hometown, Charleston WV.

You will see WV's beautiful Capitol dome off to the right.. all the way down to the Patrick Street Bridge to the left.

The photo was taken from Charleston's Fort Hill section and digitally manipulated to create one seamless photo that
has never been possible before. You will be amazed at the clarity and scale of this breathtaking photo.

The above images are only one TENTH of the entire photo!

Faq's:

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

*This photo can be printed in any size up to 13 feet long. (please call for price)

*The photo can also be printed smaller. (call for price) Be aware however that
the shorter the photo, the thinner the image will be from top to bottom. I
chose the 11+ by 10 feet size for the detail available in the photo. Making
the photo too small will loose this detail. What's too small? That's a matter
of opinion. But we can't be responsible, and can't refund money for those who
purchase the image smaller, and then decide it's too narrow from top to bottom.
Example: If you order a 7 foot wide print, it will be "about" 7 1/4 inches high.
That may be fine for some, but it will be much less impressive when looking for
detail in the photo. "Standard" mounting is 78 inches. So is "standard"
framing. But in my opinion, this is too small to be effective.  For some however,
it will be OK.  So be careful when you order because we don't want you to be
disappointed

*Why a 10 foot long photo?  Why not? It's never been done before as far as I know.

*Who would want it? Businesses mostly. Restaurants, Law firms, government buildings.
However, some citizens would love to have this photo to decorate a family room too.

*Can it be mounted? Standard local mounting is 78 inches. This photo is 120
inches. So "non standard" mounting CAN be had, but you'll have to check around
to see who in-state or out-of-state can do this.  I do know (as an example) that
Mountaineer Glass in Dunbar will mount and frame the 10 foot photo. Is it expensive?
You bet. But for a photo like this that has never been attempted, it's really relative.
I'm going to use 10 ft."gaterboard", and mount the photo using 3M brand "Super 77" spray
adhesive. I will then simply attach hangers. There will be no frame and no glass. It's
a very contemporary way to mount something these days with almost a 3-D effect.

*Can it be framed? After talking to several framers locally, the answer is yes. For
instance, plexiglas's and metal framing can be purchased 10 feet long. Also, check the
internet for longer framing possibilities.
11, 12, 13 foot images for instance.

PLEXIGLASS POSSIBILITY:

I have contacted a company that can provide plexiglass at the lenghts needed.

J Freeman Inc.
Dorchester Ma.
1-800-841-9442
(Ask for Andy)

1/8 clear plexiglass... 124 inches by 15 inches is $63.00 (as of this writing)

However, be aware that to ship such a long object, it must be shipped by truck.
This means that shipping will cost almost 3 times as much as the plexiglass.
($150....  from one, up to 200 or so cut sheets).  If people could get together
and order 15 or 20 cut sheets, they could then share the shipping cost.

*Does it have to be framed? That's up to you and how you plan on using it. Many people
would want it framed... others might just glue it onto some material themselves, like
"Gatorboard", a wall etc. Still others will simply roll it up loosely and keep it safe that way until
such a time that they'd like to show their friends. Then just unroll it for viewing.

*There will be a print available to see at Charleston Blueprint
